Production Volume Matters
Making 10,000 pieces of the same style every month is a completely different operation than making 200. That difference shows up in how we price things.
Difficult Clients
A buyer who demands a new sample at every single step — asking for a fresh colour sample for every 150–200 jeans we produce — cannot be treated the same as someone who orders 10,000 units of one style every month. The workload simply isn’t comparable.
Material Selection
Thread, fabric, washing, labels, packaging — from the cheapest option to the most expensive, there can be a 3–4x price difference at every stage. That’s entirely driven by what the customer wants and what the model calls for.
What’s Included in the Price
Almost everything is included — except custom brand label costs. By that we mean custom buttons, rivets, hangtags, leather patches, custom poly bags, and so on.
MOQ — Why We Ask for a Minimum of 200 Pieces
Our standard minimum is 200 pieces per style.
Here’s the honest reason why:
Making a single sample takes the same effort as running a production of 1,000 or 10,000 pieces. The setup is the same.
Sewing 100 pairs versus 200 pairs takes almost the same amount of time. Configuring the sewing line for a style — adjusting machines, setting up the band — eats up roughly the same hours regardless of quantity.
Our washing drums are large. 200 pairs barely fills one drum, and each pair goes through 4–5 separate washing steps. Below 200 units, the effort just doesn’t balance out.
A single pair of jeans requires 20 different people to touch it before it’s done. The director who shot a documentary at our factory told us he had no idea jeans were this complicated to make. Unlike a t-shirt, a pair of denim doesn’t walk off the sewing machine finished — it’s only just getting started.
Why is making 100 pcs harder than 1000 pcs ?
Clients who order small batches of 100 units are typically newcomers to the business. They either constantly suspect they’re being cheated, or they frequently change their minds because they lack a clear vision of what they want.
What about 50–100 pieces?
If the style isn’t overly complex, or we genuinely like the design, we occasionally do smaller runs as a favour. Same goes if there’s no immediate profit expectation on your side, or if the retail price will be around €200+ a piece — sometimes lower quantities make sense. We try to be flexible where we can.
A few more things worth knowing: within a 200-piece order, you can mix sizes however you like — 50 XS, 30 S, 70 L, whatever you need. And if the style is water-wash only, we can sometimes split 200 pieces across two colourways (100 of each).
